Ana Cruz
Community Health Worker II
Ana is a graduate from California State University of Fresno, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Criminology with a concentration in Forensic and Behavioral sciences. She also acquired a minor in Anthropology and a certificate in Alcohol and Drug studies.
In her role as Community Health Worker II, Ana helps families and individuals navigate through their struggles with asthma through education, home environmental assessments, and care coordination. She hopes to aid many families in Fresno and Madera counties.
Ana was born and raised in Madera, California to immigrant parents who taught her the value of hard work, dedication, and compassion for others. She has always strived to help those in need as seen in her previous roles as a Care Worker, Direct Support Professional, and Care Manager. Ana enjoys volunteering in her community and has helped organizations like St. Joachim Catholic church, Holy Family Table, Right to Life of Central California, and was an intern for the California Health Collaborative in their Lock It Up project. She has also served in mission trips to Haiti teaching the youth Math, Spanish, and English. In her free time Ana enjoys spending time with her pets, participating at her church, and making rosaries and religious inspired jewelry for her small business.
