Franchesca Bautista
CARES Community Health Worker I
Franchesca graduated from Fresno State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, with an emphasis in Community Health. She was also a club member of the Student Public Health Association.
She first joined CCAC as an intern for the Environmental Health Research and CARES departments. Now as a full-time Community Health Worker, Franchesca helps provide asthma education and remediation information to improve the quality of life for those with asthma.
Franchesca was born in Guam and raised in Washington State and California. When living in California, she recognized the health conditions and disparities that were prevalent, especially in the Central Valley. Her goal is to improve the community’s well-being by teaching the importance of healthcare advocacy. She has experience in community service through her church Iglesia Ni Cristo where she participates in food and clothing drives as well as beach and park clean-ups. She was previously an ambassador for the Central California Blood Center, creating promotional content and giving post-donation care.
During her free time, Franchesca loves to spend quality time with her family, friends, and dog. She also enjoys singing and playing video games.
